Harjas Singh is co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Shares, the London- and Paris-based social investing app he started with Benjamin Chemla and François Ruty in 2021. He oversees product across mobile trading, social features and the company's content tooling, and sits on the executive team that has scaled Shares to a multi-country retail investing footprint in Europe.
Before Shares, Harjas led the Analytics and Core teams for the Global Wealth and Trading product at Revolut, owning roadmaps and KPIs across stocks, crypto and commodities during the period the bank scaled its trading offer to several million customers. He spent the four years before that at Deutsche Bank as a technical product manager and software engineer working on global equity derivatives infrastructure.
Harjas studied computer science at Virginia Tech and joined the university's CS department advisory board in 2023. His route into fintech is unusual — engineering background, derivatives desk experience, then consumer product — and he has been open about the visa challenges he navigated as an international student in the US before moving to London.
