Hitesh Mehta

Hitesh Mehta is a British-Asian entrepreneur and technology investor whose roots in the semiconductor and venture capital industries span more than two decades. Educated in Computer Science at the University of Warwick, he built his early career in the technology sector before turning his attention to founding and funding deep-tech companies. His investment interests span markets including India and the United Kingdom, with a particular focus on enterprise applications and clean energy.
In 2005, Mehta co-founded XMOS alongside Professor David May and a team of researchers spun out of the University of Bristol. XMOS set out to disrupt the semiconductor industry by creating software-defined silicon — multicore processors that could be reprogrammed in software to handle a wide variety of tasks across audio, IoT, and AI. The company has since raised more than $96 million from investors including Amadeus Capital Partners, Molten Ventures, and the Future Fund, and has grown into a global deep-tech business with offices in the UK, Asia, and beyond.
Beyond XMOS, Mehta serves as General Partner at Acacia Capital Partners and has invested in a diverse portfolio of technology and impact-driven businesses. He has been an advisor to Hubbub, a UK civic technology platform, and remains an active supporter of the Bristol deep-tech ecosystem that he helped build.
