Jignesh Dave is an entrepreneur of Asian heritage and the co-founder and chief executive of Braid, a Dutch company that lets businesses build mobile connectivity into their own products.
Before Braid, Dave spent seven years running a mobile virtual network, selling branded SIM cards to customers. The work was slow going. By his own account, it took 18 months and about €500,000 to sell his first branded SIM, and the wholesale arm of a mobile operator turned him down repeatedly along the way. The experience convinced him that the infrastructure underneath a connectivity business was worth more than the SIM cards sold on top of it.
In 2023 he co-founded Braid, originally called Next Communications, with Mitesh Popat. The company now offers a single API that connects to more than 600 carriers in over 200 countries and serves about 90 enterprise customers. In October 2026 it announced a $38M Series A led by Octopus Ventures, its first outside funding, alongside a rebrand to Braid.
