Kavitha Ravindran trained as a teacher at the University of Cambridge, where she completed her PGCE. She taught science in secondary schools, marked GCSE papers as an examiner and went on to hold leadership roles in schools. That work kept her close to the slow, judgement-heavy job of assessing written answers, which is the problem Sainaptic now tackles. She co-founded Sainaptic with Rajeshwari Iyer and is its Chief Growth Officer. She oversees the teaching practice behind the product and how awarding organisations and training providers adopt it. In October 2026 the company raised a £1M seed round co-led by Cornerstone VC and Ufi Ventures, and announced a partnership with Skilltech Solutions to bring its marking to apprenticeship assessment organisations.
