Kiruba Shankar Eswaran

Kiruba Shankar Eswaran is a serial entrepreneur of South Indian Tamil heritage who built his career across Portugal, Europe and the UK. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering, worked early in his career as a software developer for brands including Nike and VF Corp, and then completed an MBA before pivoting to startups. He co-founded Zaask, Iberia's largest local services marketplace, which he sold to Sonae in 2021, and was part of the founding team at Anorak, the UK's first FCA-regulated digital life insurance broker, which was acquired by CLARK Group in 2023.
Kiruba then founded Eleos, a London-based insurtech that embeds fully digital life and income protection insurance directly into the platforms of fintech brands and other consumer businesses. Eleos operates in both the UK and the United States, and its white-label API platform allows partners to offer contextually relevant insurance products within their existing digital journeys.
Under Kiruba's leadership, Eleos raised a pre-seed round backed by Fuel Ventures, Indico Capital Partners, APX and Magic Fund, followed by a $4 million seed round co-led by Fuel Ventures and Indico Capital, with further participation from Founders Factory, InsurTech NY and others. The company has partnered with fintech brands such as Loqbox and Updraft, and has since expanded into the US market, becoming licensed in 41 states.
