Kush Madlani is a British-Indian technologist and entrepreneur whose career has been shaped by a drive to apply machine learning to complex, high-stakes problems. He grew up with a deep interest in mathematics and computing, a foundation that led him to pursue a Master's in Machine Learning at University College London after an early career in finance.

Before founding Wexler, Kush worked as a derivatives trader at JP Morgan, where he began self-teaching Python and automating quantitative workflows. Recognising that his future lay in building AI systems rather than trading them, he transitioned into applied machine learning at Tractable — Europe's first computer vision unicorn — where he developed fraud-detection models and continuous improvement systems for the insurance industry. In January 2023, Kush co-founded Wexler with Gregory Mostyn through the Entrepreneur First LD19 cohort. As Co-founder and CTO, he led the technical architecture of Wexler's fact intelligence platform — a gated pipeline that isolates and verifies discrete factual events across unstructured document sets, at a scale of more than a million documents per matter. The product was adopted by disputes teams at Clifford Chance, Goodwin and Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, alongside in-house legal and compliance functions at large global enterprises.

Under Kush's technical leadership, Wexler grew to a team of 18, expanded revenue eightfold year-on-year and sustained net revenue retention above 400%. The company raised a $1.4m pre-seed in December 2024 and a $5.3m seed round in September 2025 led by Pear VC. In July 2026 Wexler was acquired by Legora, the Stockholm-based legal AI platform, with the engineering team Kush built becoming the founding staff of Legora's new London engineering hub.
