Kush Madlani

Kush Madlani is a British-Indian technologist and entrepreneur whose career has been shaped by a drive to apply machine learning to complex, high-stakes problems. He grew up with a deep interest in mathematics and computing, a foundation that led him to pursue a Master's in Machine Learning at University College London after an early career in finance.
Before founding Wexler, Kush worked as a derivatives trader at JP Morgan, where he began self-teaching Python and automating quantitative workflows. Recognising that his future lay in building AI systems rather than trading them, he transitioned into applied machine learning at Tractable — Europe's first computer vision unicorn — where he developed fraud-detection models and continuous improvement systems for the insurance industry. This experience at the frontier of enterprise AI gave him the technical grounding to build production-grade systems from the ground up.
In January 2023, Kush co-founded Wexler with Gregory Mostyn through the Entrepreneur First LD19 cohort. As Co-founder and CTO, he leads the technical architecture of Wexler's Fact Intelligence Platform — an AI system that reads thousands of legal documents, extracts verified facts, and generates structured case narratives for lawyers, HR teams, and compliance professionals. The platform is deployed at leading global law firms including Clifford Chance and Burges Salmon.
Under Kush's technical leadership, Wexler has processed over one million queries, achieved approximately 2x month-on-month revenue growth, and tripled ARR within months of commercial launch. The company has been backed by Myriad Venture Partners and Entrepreneur First, and its work has been cited by CB Insights as among the companies rewriting the legal industry. Kush was also awarded the Freedom of the City of London in recognition of his contributions to the legal technology ecosystem.
