Mandeep Singh is best known as co-founder and former CEO of Trouva, the curated online marketplace for independent boutiques he started in 2013 with Alex Loizou. He led Trouva as CEO until 2020, raising over $40 million from Index Ventures, LocalGlobe, Octopus Ventures and Downing Ventures, and grew it to one of the FT 1000's fastest-growing companies in Europe before stepping back to a part-time founder role and exiting through Made.com's 2022 acquisition.
He now invests as an active angel across more than 30 startups, with a focus on female-founded and BAME-led tech businesses and a deliberate avoidance of hardware, biotech, gaming and crypto. His portfolio includes incident.io, Fonoa, 11x, TitanML, Convergence and Kaedim. He was named a Founders Forum Top UK Angel in 2023 and previously scouted for Accel.
Beyond venture, Mandeep is an International Board Director at Amnesty International and an advisory board member at Walking on Earth. His career started in private equity at BC Partners and in strategy consulting at OC&C, and he was an early non-executive director at Thrift+ before that company sold.
