Neil Shah

Neil Shah is a British-Asian entrepreneur and co-founder of Tilt, the London-based live commerce platform bringing real-time shopping to Western consumers. He studied at the University of Manchester before embarking on a career that would see him play a pivotal role at one of Europe's most transformative fintech companies. As the fifth employee at Revolut, Shah led the neobank's international expansion and authorisations divisions, helping scale the business from its earliest days to a global payments giant valued at tens of billions of dollars.
After leaving Revolut in 2020, Shah spent time as an angel investor and mentor at Seedcamp, developing a deep understanding of early-stage venture and the founder journey. He co-founded Tilt in 2021 alongside Abhi Thanendran, applying the rapid product development and community-building instincts honed at Revolut to create a fashion-focused live commerce app that quickly established itself in the top 10 of the UK Shopping app charts.
Tilt raised an $18 million Series A led by Balderton Capital in 2024, with participation from TQ Ventures, Earlybird, and Seedcamp. The app had surpassed half a million users within its first year of launch, demonstrating the founders' thesis that live shopping could find meaningful traction with Gen Z audiences in the West when built around authentic community and real-time interaction.
