Praveen Karadigudd is a British South Asian technology entrepreneur and co-founder of AttiFin AI, the Newcastle-based legal technology company developing Britain's first enterprise AI platform trained exclusively on UK and devolved law. Working alongside CEO Shilpa Kaluti, Karadigudd brings technical depth and delivery experience to a company built on the foundation of Scrumconnect's nationally significant work in the UK justice system.

His professional background connects closely to Scrumconnect, the technology consultancy whose founders back AttiFin. Scrumconnect's track record includes delivering digital systems for His Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service and the Ministry of Justice on programmes such as Common Platform — large-scale infrastructure that processes the business of the criminal justice system. That direct experience of building reliable, accountable technology for legal environments shapes AttiFin's core design philosophy: accuracy, citation, and data residency are not nice-to-haves but fundamental requirements.

As co-founder, Karadigudd has helped shape the technical architecture of a platform built specifically for the complexity of British law. AttiFin's models are trained on the specific language and structure of English, Welsh, Scottish, and Northern Irish law, its outputs are heavily sourced and cited, and its guardrails are engineered to reduce the hallucination risk that has made legal professionals sceptical of general-purpose AI tools. The platform operates entirely in UK data centres, meeting the data residency standards that enterprise legal buyers require.

The company secured £5 million in seed funding in December 2025 and is targeting a 2026 launch, with plans to create at least 25 technical roles in Newcastle in the company's first year. Karadigudd's contribution to building AttiFin from the public-sector expertise of Scrumconnect into a commercial legal AI platform reflects the kind of applied, mission-critical technology development that defines the company's founding ambition.
