Pravin Paratey is co-founder and CTO of Kaizan. Born in India and a graduate of IIT Bombay, he moved to the UK to pursue a career in software engineering and has been based in London for most of the past two decades.

His career spans six startups and a stretch at Facebook, where he was an engineering manager working on advertising products including Brand Awareness, Reach Objective and Creative Hub. Before that he co-founded Affectv (an AI-driven audience platform later acquired by Hybrid Theory) and built early ad-tech systems at Skimlinks. He went on to lead engineering at UK energy company OVO during its 10x growth phase, then co-founded Kantan, OVO's first incubator startup, as CTO.

He started Kaizan with Glen Calvert in 2021 to build what he describes as a system of action for client-service teams — AI agents that read across emails, calls and meetings to flag risk, surface upsell opportunities and help account managers grow revenue from existing relationships. The company has now raised more than £3M, employs around 20 people and serves enterprise customers across the UK, US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
