Raghav (RG) Rmadya holds a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from Brown University and built his career at the frontier of decentralised infrastructure, contributing to ecosystem development at Protocol Labs — the organisation behind Filecoin and IPFS — where he developed a deep understanding of how open data systems could solve real-world bottlenecks in AI development.

In March 2024 Raghav spun Reppo Labs out of Protocol Labs Venture Studio, identifying a fundamental problem: the datasets needed to train and run specialised AI models were siloed, inaccessible, or locked behind intermediaries, with no efficient mechanism for AI agents to discover, negotiate access to, or compensate the owners of niche data. Reppo builds permissionless data exchange infrastructure that allows AI developers and agents to access those datasets directly, using programmable IP co-ownership to ensure fair compensation for data owners.

In January 2025 Reppo raised $2.2 million in funding from Protocol Labs, CV VC, CMS Holdings, and a community allocation on Echo.xyz — the first tranche of which sold out in under ten minutes. Notable angels include Charles Songhurst, Dieter Fishbein of Anoma, and Thomas France of Ledger. The company is headquartered in the Cayman Islands with a globally distributed team.
