Sai Shivareddy is the co-founder and CEO of Nyobolt, the Cambridge-based battery company building ultra-fast-charging, high-power energy systems for autonomous robots and AI data-centre infrastructure. He moved from India to the UK to study engineering and completed his PhD at St John's College, Cambridge, where his research focused on electronics and battery materials, including collaboration with Dyson on high-power energy storage concepts.

After Cambridge, he spent over a decade working across the battery value chain — from mining and materials at Talga Resources through to product development and commercial roles in the wider battery industry. He co-founded Nyobolt in 2019 with Professor Dame Clare Grey, commercialising a decade of research from the University of Cambridge's Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry.

Under his leadership Nyobolt has grown to roughly 115 employees with operations across the UK, US and Asia. The company achieved unicorn status in May 2026 after closing a $60M Series C led by Symbotic at a $1B valuation, on revenues that grew fivefold year-on-year as demand surged from warehouse robotics, humanoid robotics and AI data-centre customers.
