Shruti Grover

Shruti Grover is an Indian-born entrepreneur whose career has been shaped by deep, hands-on experience in manufacturing. In her early twenties she established and operated temporary factories on construction sites across India, producing structural stone and building facades, before going on to set up an advanced manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. She later moved to the UK where she earned an MSc in Innovation Design Engineering from Imperial College London, combining her factory-floor instincts with a rigorous design and systems-thinking education.
Grover co-founded MannyAI in London in 2023 alongside data scientist and CTO Simon Johnson. As CEO, she leads the company's mission to transform traditional apparel and furniture factories into agile, AI-enhanced production hubs. Her unique vantage point — having spent years running factories rather than simply selling software to them — informs MannyAI's philosophy: that it is standard digital tools, not expensive hardware, that can unlock profitability for small-batch European manufacturing.
MannyAI's platform automates production planning and scheduling, generates digital replicas of factory floors, and enables brands to test and reorder in short cycles, directly tackling the fashion industry's overproduction crisis. The company raised £1.1m in pre-seed funding led by Dreamcraft Ventures, with co-investment from Alante Capital, Plug and Play EMEA, Carbon13, Ventures Together, and PDS Ventures. With factories across Europe piloting the technology, MannyAI is rapidly scaling its model for real-world apparel and footwear manufacturing.
