Vivek Madlani

Vivek Madlani is co-founder and CEO of Multiply, a London-based AI platform that helps financial institutions automate their advisory processes. Now serving more than 100 B2B clients across the wealth management and financial advice industry, Multiply automates onboarding, annual reviews, data analysis, and the generation of personalised recommendations — work that previously consumed a significant share of advisers' time.

Madlani co-founded Multiply in 2016 with CTO Mike Curtis through Entrepreneur First, originally building it as a free, fully automated consumer advice app to close the UK's "advice gap" — the gulf where traditional financial advisers won't take on clients with under £100,000. The company raised £1.75m in a seed round led by Octopus Ventures in 2018, with angel backing from Nick Hungerford, Taavet Hinrikus, and others. After several years of running the consumer product, the company pivoted to its current B2B model, licensing its AI platform to financial institutions; it has since been named in the WealthTech100 and won "Best Use of AI" at the 11:FS Awards in 2024.

Before Multiply, Madlani spent twelve years as a derivatives trader, most recently as Global Head of Dynamic Strategies and Index Trading at RBS, where he scaled the business to $11bn in assets under management. He holds a degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from the LSE and a Diploma for Financial Advisers from the London Institute of Banking & Finance. He is also an active fintech angel investor.
