Yumi Tsoy is Head of Operations and Senior Partner at Bethnal Green Ventures, the London-based tech-for-good venture capital firm. She joined BGV in October 2019 and now oversees the firm's operations across investment processes, portfolio management and platform support, working alongside Managing Partners Paul Miller OBE and Melanie Hayes as BGV deploys its £33 million Tech for Good fund.

Her remit covers the practical machinery of how a tech-for-good VC actually runs — from the structure of BGV's flagship six-week accelerator programme to the systems behind impact measurement, portfolio diversity tracking and follow-on investment decisions. She has been a public voice for BGV at industry panels and through her writing on Medium, where she covers responsible tech, impact investment and people operations.

Tsoy was part of the BGV team that closed the firm's £33 million fourth fund in 2023, backed by the British Business Bank, M&G Catalyst and Big Society Capital, with a target of at least 50% female-founded investments. BGV has now deployed into 200+ ventures and was the first UK VC to certify as a B Corp.
