CareHires

CareHires was founded in 2019 in response to a chronic, worsening staffing crisis in the UK social care sector. Care homes were struggling to fill shifts reliably, relying on a fragmented patchwork of recruitment agencies whose fees were high and whose processes were slow, manual, and opaque. The company set out to build a digital platform that could bring order to this chaos — matching care workers with care providers on demand and replacing spreadsheet-based rota management with a single, connected system.
The CareHires platform allows care organisations to manage their entire temporary workforce through one interface: posting shifts, sourcing qualified workers from a curated pool, tracking compliance, and managing agency relationships. Its Care Rota product provides intelligent scheduling that eliminates the last-minute scramble for shift cover. A companion product, Care Academy, supports workforce training and upskilling, helping providers build longer-term workforce stability alongside on-demand staffing.
The company has fulfilled over half a million staffing hours for care providers across the UK, working with more than 150 services and maintaining a 95% fulfilment rate on shift requests. In 2025 CareHires raised £1.7 million led by West Hill Capital to enhance its AI-driven capabilities and expand its national reach.
