Greenworkx

greenworkx is a climate EdTech startup tackling the green skills shortage by building a talent portal that helps people discover, train for and move into green jobs — particularly the skilled trade roles, like solar installers and heat pump engineers, that the UK and other markets need to deliver net-zero infrastructure.

The product combines bite-sized learning, qualification pathways and algorithmic job-matching to bridge candidates, training providers and employers. The company's stated mission is to move 10 million people into green jobs over the next decade.

greenworkx was founded in mid-2022 by Mat Ilic and Richard Ng, and raised a £600,000 pre-seed round in April 2023 led by Mangrove Capital Partners with Ada Ventures and angel investors including the CEOs of Multiverse, MyTutor and Octopus Electric Vehicles.
