Twin Science & Robotics

Twin Science & Robotics is a UK-based award-winning edtech company on a mission to make quality STEM and sustainability education accessible to every child, regardless of background. Founded in 2017 by Asude Altintas Guray, Omer Gorgulu and Cihan Ozalevli — all veterans of YGA, the Turkish NGO that ran science workshops for underserved communities — Twin began with direct classroom experience working with over 20,000 students who lacked access to good science and technology teaching.

Twin's product suite combines hands-on physical STEM kits with a gamified digital app and an educator portal. Its Robotics & Coding Kit, Robotic Art Kit, STEM for Sustainability Kit and Aviation & AI Kit are compatible with LEGO and work alongside the Twin Code Lab — a drag-and-drop coding environment — to let children aged 5 to 14 build real-world robots, prototype inventions and explore United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through play. All content is developed in collaboration with UCL and Imperial College London.

Twin's products have reached over one million children in more than 35 countries and are trusted by teachers in over 4,000 schools. The company has won recognition from the World Economic Forum's Smart Toy AI Awards, the Bett Awards and the Play for Change Awards, and holds strategic partnerships with Intel, Rolls-Royce, Google and Ford. Twin has raised £1.25 million in investment from Soulmates Ventures and APY Ventures and is focused on expanding its US presence.
