Twin Science & Robotics, a UK-based educational technology company, has raised £2.6 million across two rounds via Republic Europe (formerly Seedrs) to develop and scale its range of hands-on STEM learning kits for children. The company designs robotics, coding, and AI-themed educational products that combine physical construction with digital programming — giving children a tangible, project-based introduction to the technical concepts that underpin modern technology, without requiring prior coding experience or specialist equipment.
The case for hands-on STEM education is well established. Research consistently shows that children learn technical concepts more effectively through physical making and experimentation than through passive instruction, and that early positive experiences with engineering and computing are strong predictors of later interest in technical careers.
