Cherilyn Tan is a Singaporean founder who built one of Asia's earliest legal-tech businesses before relocating it to the UK. She started Asia Law Network, an online platform connecting clients to lawyers across the region, after seeing how hard it was for both sides to find each other through traditional channels.

That work surfaced a different problem: the firms themselves were drowning in administrative overhead. In 2017 she co-founded Tessaract to attack it, building a single system that replaced the patchwork of case management, billing and finance tools most firms were stitching together. She has led the company from a team of five to a global operation serving law firms across multiple markets.

Tessaract relocated its global headquarters from Singapore to London in 2025 to capitalise on the UK's legal market, with Cherilyn leading the move. She has been recognised as a #WIICTA Woman in IT honouree and serves as the company's CEO.
