Cascade

Cascade builds software for the part of construction that happens before anyone breaks ground. Procurement across the sector is scattered: public bodies and private developers advertise work across dozens of portals, or not at all, and firms without the staff to monitor them constantly never learn about projects they had a genuine chance of winning. Cascade's argument is that this is a revenue problem rather than an administrative one.

The platform reads public records for the traces a project leaves before it becomes an RFP - bond filings, property transactions, lines in county capital plans, funding announcements - and models who is likely to commission the work and who is likely to win it. Agents built on a data layer specific to architecture, engineering and construction then draft proposals, flag issues buried in project specifications, check submissions against building codes, and identify other firms worth partnering with on a bid. It will also read a customer's own network, including LinkedIn connections, to surface opportunities where a relationship already exists.

Founded in 2025 by Hannia Zia and Joana Ferreira, who met at the neuro-symbolic AI company UnlikelyAI, Cascade operates from London and New York. It works with around 20 AEC customers whose portfolios include JFK and LaGuardia airports, luxury hotels, data centres and nuclear facilities, and says it has surfaced more than $10 billion of potential project value for them. The company raised a $3.5 million seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz Speedrun in July 2026.
