Hesta Health

Hesta Health is a UK-based women's healthcare company building a digital-first platform for postnatal care. Its first product addresses the two-year window after childbirth, when many new mothers see clinical support taper off well before their physical and mental recovery is complete. The company's goal is to make that window a moment of intervention rather than neglect, with care designed around what women actually need.
The platform combines an at-home health assessment, ongoing clinical review by a multidisciplinary team, and access to specialist services including pelvic health, lactation support, mental health, GPs, and physiotherapy. A consumer-facing service, AskHesta, gives new mothers a way to ask questions and get clinician-backed answers from day one, with deeper assessments and follow-on care layered in as needed. Hesta is regulated by the CQC, with care delivered through qualified clinicians and a digital experience built around milestone-led pathways rather than one-off appointments.
Hesta was founded in May 2025 by Dr Sujitha Selvarajah, an NHS Obstetrics and Gynaecology doctor with research and policy experience at Oxford and UCL, and Amanda Cupples, the former Managing Director of Northern Europe and MEA at Airbnb and a former CCO/COO of Babylon Health. The company launched publicly in July 2025 with an oversubscribed £2 million pre-seed round led by Eka Ventures, with participation from Blue Lion Capital, Ascension Ventures, Samos Investments, and angel investors. The funding is being used to build out the digital product, meet regulatory requirements, and grow the team across product, technology, clinical operations, and research.
