Jude

Jude is a London-based bladder care company building products, content and clinical pathways for the 2.3 billion people globally affected by bladder issues — a market larger than diabetes, menopause, erectile dysfunction and endometriosis combined. Its initial focus is on women aged 40 to 60, a demographic the company argues has been overlooked by earlier waves of women's health startups that prioritised period care, fertility and pregnancy.
The product range includes a clinically-tested bladder strength supplement formulated with pumpkin seed extract and soy germ extract, alongside biodegradable, plant-based liners and pads co-created with a community of women. Jude has shipped to tens of thousands of customers since launching in January 2022 and reports that 82% of users have experienced symptom improvements.
The company raised £2 million in pre-seed funding in March 2022 led by Samos Investments, with participation from Reckitt's Access VC and 12 female angel investors. It followed up with a $4.24 million seed round in 2023 led by Eka Ventures and Joyance, supporting expansion into the United States and into adjacent areas including pelvic health, prostate health and clinical research partnerships with the University of Brighton and Liverpool John Moores University.
