KareHero

KareHero is a UK-based employee benefit platform that helps companies support employees who are caring for elderly family members. With around one in five employees now an active caregiver, the company positions adult-care support as the next major workplace benefit, alongside healthcare and parental leave.

Each employee using KareHero is paired with a dedicated care advocate who provides hands-on practical support — navigating hospital discharge, organising care assessments, building care plans, identifying funding options and finding the right care setting. The model is designed to reduce caregiver burnout and the productivity loss that comes with employees taking unplanned leave or quitting altogether.

Founded in 2022 by Stephanie Leung, KareHero is backed by LocalGlobe and Form Ventures. The company acquired Care Sourcer, previously the UK's most-visited consumer website for elderly care, in 2023, bringing 175+ years of combined care expertise into the team. It has won industry recognition including Health Tech World's Annual Judges' Choice Award.
