PervasID is a Cambridge University spinout that designs and manufactures the world's most accurate passive (battery-free) RFID reader systems for automating inventory tracking, asset management, and supply chain visibility. The company was founded in 2011 by Dr. Sabesan Sithamparanathan based on his PhD research at the University of Cambridge, which produced a breakthrough approach to RFID reading that achieves near-100% tag detection accuracy at distances of up to one metre across wide areas — solving the persistent dead-spot problem that had limited conventional RFID technology.

PervasID's TrackMaster systems are deployed across a wide range of industries: in NHS hospitals tracking surgical instruments and mission-critical medical equipment; in aviation manufacturing plants monitoring tools and components for safety-critical Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention; and in major retail chains providing real-time inventory visibility. Strategic investors include Stanley Black & Decker, one of the largest industrial tool companies in the world.

In 2025, PervasID raised £3.25 million led by Parkwalk Advisors, with co-investment from NPIF II Maven Equity Finance and Finance Durham Fund, to roll out its TrackMaster 2X platform and expand into new markets. The company's founder has received an OBE, a Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation, and election as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, among numerous other honours.
