Our program welcomes FinTech start-ups to receive feedback from our guest mentors. Our mentors include individuals from around the FinTech community and have expertise in marketing, legal, business development and other fields to accelerate start-ups’ growth.

If you are accepted to attend the event you will receive an email with time confirmations. This event will be in person, the1:1 time slots are 30 mins each.

In order for your startup to be considered for mentorship you must submit an application. Submit your application via Google Forms.

September Mentors

Anjum Quayyum - Anjum is Director in the Chief Technology Office. Prior to Barclays, Anjum was in the start-up space, and for IBM, operated across strategy and transformation as a Consultant.

She is passionate about supporting FinTech, especially in making the transition from emerging disruptor to becoming an enterprise ready player within the Banking Sector.

Jay Wilson​​ - joined AlbionVC from Bain & Company, where he had been a consultant since 2016 advising private equity and sovereign wealth funds on acquisitions of European technology, financial and business services companies. Prior to this he graduated from London Business School with an MBA having spent eight years in Financial Services. Today Jay is focussed on B2B software investing, especially within fintech and data.

Justin Tan - is passionate about helping entrepreneurs to find and achieve sustainable and robust growth. He is an expert on growth and scaling strategy, strategic implementation, and maximising team effectiveness. Justin has experience on "both sides of the fence", having collaborated with start-ups as Director of Global Partnerships & Innovation at Merck & Co., and as Director of Operations and Strategy for Qured, a Series A start-up.

Sara Benjamin - has built extensive mentoring and revenue generation experience throughout a varied Financial Services (Morgan Stanley, BNP-P, UBS and ING Bank N.V.), Fractional CCO (Founder) and Real Estate Development (Co-Founder) career.

She is well-versed in the wide range of knowledge required to produce significant commercial impact alongside key stakeholders. This regularly ranges from the strategising, negotiation and mediation aspects through to the various governance structures necessary to ensure sustainable revenue growth.

Sara is a strong believer in team empathy, continual learning and empowering others to succeed. High EQ levels and always listening with curiosity to fuel productivity are a decided passion.

Senam Payandeh - has a decade of experience as an operator in the startup and scale-up space. Specializing in business planning and organizational scaling, she brings a wealth of knowledge to companies in the Seed to Series A stages, particularly in the Fintech sector where she's spent the past several years. Currently, Senam is focused on advising and collaborating with startups to help them navigate and excel in their scaling efforts.
