Plotify Secures $12.5M Series A Funding, Accelerating Global Expansion in Real Estate Investment

April 22, 2023

Plotify, a USA-based startup revolutionizing real estate investing, recently concluded a successful Series A funding round, securing a substantial $12.5 million. Anish Malhotra, Plotify's visionary founder and CEO, expresses enthusiasm about the platform's unique approach to real estate investment. He explains, "Plotify is an entirely new approach to real estate investing, starting with single-family rentals (SFRs). Our members can build customised and diversified portfolios of wholly owned SFRs with speed and precision, from anywhere in the world."

The Plotify platform distinguishes itself by compressing the SFR transaction process into minutes. Members can enjoy optional, instantaneous point-of-purchase financing, creating an end-to-end investor experience that seamlessly integrates tax and accounting, insurance, property management, and tenant management. Malhotra emphasises, "We empower our members to own entire residential properties with total transparency."

This recent injection of $12.5 million in capital marks a pivotal moment for Plotify, propelling its mission to cater to an expanding pool of accredited investors on their global waitlist. The funding will also contribute to increasing the inventory of properties in the U.S. and U.K. Leveraging proprietary data-driven algorithms for location and asset selection, Plotify aims to enhance risk scoring assets.

A consortium of reputable investors participated in the Series A funding round, including StageDotO Ventures, Celox, Forum Ventures, Ahimsa Capital, Stormbreaker, Venture Catalysts, LendEast, and Capital Eleven. Mike Self, General Partner of StageDotO Ventures, comments on Plotify's mission: "Plotify's mission is to provide accredited investors with the same economies of scale in data, asset management, financing, and due diligence that the world's largest institutional players have built."

Single-family rentals (SFRs) have proven resilience in both growth and recessionary periods, making them an attractive asset class. Mike Self notes the evolution of the single-family rental market into an institutional asset class since the 2008 housing crisis. He adds, "Plotify's mission is to provide accredited investors with the same economies of scale in data, asset management, financing, and due diligence that the world's largest institutional players have built."

Plotify continues to innovate, recently launching Plotify Insights, a tool designed to help members decipher the U.S. housing market. Malhotra elaborates on the initiative, saying, "Our goal is to help our members become better investors. By eliminating all of the operational headaches typically attached to real estate investments, our members can spend more time on portfolio construction using the high-fidelity data and commentary that we provide."

The $12.5 million funding will undoubtedly play a crucial role in expanding Plotify's reach and impact. It underscores the startup's commitment to democratizing access to real estate investing and providing a frictionless, transparent, and full-service management experience for a previously restrictive asset class. Plotify's platform effectively reduces the SFR ownership process from months to minutes, offering investors the opportunity to instantly own an entire residential property with a pre-leased tenant, property manager, insurance, and financing.

As Plotify gears up for its global expansion, the Series A funding serves as a testament to the platform's potential in reshaping the landscape of real estate investment on a global scale.
