Ahana Banerjee is the founder and CEO of Clear, a London-based skincare app and data platform she started while studying physics at Imperial College London. The product began as a personal solution to her own cystic acne — a way to track routines, products, and progress when most skincare advice felt vague or biased. Clear has since grown into a community-driven app with tens of thousands of users, alongside a vertically focused AI/data platform that supplies brand-agnostic insights to consumers, clinicians, and skincare brands.

Banerjee was admitted to Y Combinator's Winter 2021 batch with the idea, raised roughly $1m in venture funding, and has since picked up Forbes 30 Under 30 and Sunday Times Young Power List recognition. The app has been featured by Apple as App of the Day on multiple occasions and won L'Oréal's 2022 Beauty Tech for Good award; Beiersdorf selected Clear for its Beauty Tech Innovation Summit in 2023.

Before founding Clear, Banerjee held internships across investment banking and technology at Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Nomura, and UBS during her degree. She co-founded an earlier venture, Quill, in 2020. Today she splits her time between building Clear's product and platform and speaking publicly about skin health, founder experience, and the underdiscussed economics of the $200B+ skincare industry.
