Ben Flowers

Ben Flowers is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of 7879, a UK fine jewellery brand that sells gold and platinum jewellery priced transparently in real time against international bullion markets. A former executive at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Flowers brings the analytical rigour and strategic discipline of global management consulting to the operational and technological infrastructure of 7879 — a business model that requires real-time pricing systems, precious metal authentication processes, and a guaranteed buyback mechanism that connects directly to international refinery networks.
Flowers co-founded 7879 alongside Sach Kukadia in October 2021, with Kukadia providing the consumer e-commerce expertise developed during a decade running SecretSales and Flowers providing the technology and operational architecture needed to build a jewellery platform that behaves more like a financial instrument than a traditional retail brand. His work at BCG, where he developed experience in strategy and operations across multiple industries, gave him the framework to think rigorously about the structural inefficiencies of traditional fine jewellery retail — the multi-layer distribution markups, the opacity of pricing relative to underlying metal value, and the absence of any meaningful secondary market for consumers to realise value from their purchases.
Under Flowers' technical leadership, 7879 has built a proprietary platform that ties each piece of jewellery to its live bullion market value, allows customers to track their portfolio in real time, and provides a buyback guarantee that connects to Birmingham's refinery network for same-day metal-to-cash conversion. The company achieved a £6 million annual run rate by its second year and has raised £5.5 million in seed funding led by Anglo American PLC. 7879 has been stocked in Selfridges and Harrods and serves a global customer base spanning the UK, US, and beyond.
