Ro Ramtohul (full name Roshan Aidan Ramtohul) is a British-Mauritian software engineer and entrepreneur with a career spanning national security, fintech, and gaming. With deep expertise across front-end development, cloud architecture, and software delivery, he built his technical skills across multiple industries before identifying the opportunity in flexible workspace technology.

In 2016, Ro co-founded Desana alongside Michael Cockburn and Steve Jeans, serving as Co-Founder and CTO. Based initially in Edinburgh, Desana set out to solve the challenge of hybrid working at scale — giving global employers a single platform to manage, book, and pay for flexible workspace across their own offices and a network of 600+ cities worldwide. Ro led the technical build of Desana's platform from the ground up, taking it to full commercial scale while relocating to Sweden for several years before returning to the UK.

Desana has raised $12.4 million from investors including JLL Spark, Accel, BGF, PropTech1, and GroundBreak Ventures. The platform is now trusted by some of the world's largest enterprises, including GitHub, Twilio, Sonos, and Elastic, to manage their distributed workforce real estate strategies.
