Sach Kukadia

Sach Kukadia is the Co-Founder and CEO of 7879, a London-based fine jewellery brand that prices its gold and platinum pieces transparently against real-time international bullion markets. Of South Indian heritage, he has spoken openly about how his culture's tradition of storing wealth in the form of gold and platinum jewellery shaped the insight behind 7879 — the conviction that precious metal jewellery should be treated as an investment asset with genuine liquidity, not a depreciating purchase at an inflated retail markup. He launched 7879 in October 2021 alongside co-founder Ben Flowers, a former Boston Consulting Group executive.
Kukadia is best known for co-founding Secret Sales, the UK's first flash sales website, with his brother Nish in 2007 at the age of 22. The business scaled to over 1,600 brand partnerships and 110 staff before being sold in 2019 to Lifestyle Retail Group. That decade of experience building and scaling a direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand informed 7879's model: sell exclusively online, eliminate the retail layer, tie prices to the weight of pure precious metal at the prevailing bullion price, and offer a guaranteed buyback programme so customers can exit their investment at any time. The name 7879 references the atomic numbers of platinum (78) and gold (79) on the periodic table, signalling the brand's commitment to the highest purity of precious metal.
7879 achieved £1.5 million in revenue in its first year, with quarterly revenues growing 977% from Q1 to Q4, and reached a £6 million run rate in its second year. The brand raised £5.5 million in seed funding in 2022 led by Anglo American PLC, and has received subsequent investment to accelerate product development and market reach. The company is stocked in Harrods and Selfridges and has a particularly strong following in the US market, where over 50% of sales are generated.
