Srikant Chakravarti

Srikant Chakravarti trained as a lawyer at the National Law School of India University before building a career as a solicitor in London. His legal background gave him a rigorous, process-driven approach to problem-solving — a mindset he brought with him when he co-founded Curio alongside Govind Balakrishnan in 2016.

As Co-Founder and COO of Curio, Srikant has been instrumental in shaping the platform's operations, content partnerships, and the technology systems that underpin its personalisation engine. He has overseen the development of Curio's machine learning-driven curation layer, which sits alongside human editorial selection to deliver a tailored audio experience for each listener.

Srikant helped guide Curio through multiple funding rounds totalling over $11 million from investors including Earlybird, Draper Esprit and Horizons Ventures, and into partnerships with more than 50 of the world's top publications. His work has helped Curio reach listeners in over 150 countries, making quality journalism accessible to people who want to learn and stay informed without being chained to a screen.
