Suranga Chandratillake holds a series of  roles in the technology sector.

Currently, he is a General Partner at Balderton Capital, a technology venture capital. This role has been centered in London, United Kingdom.

His career journey began as a Software Engineer at Teleca Software Solutions AB, where he worked for a duration of 2 years from 1996 to 1998.

Following this, he engaged in Research and Development at netdecisions for a year during 2000-2001.

In June 2003, Chandratillake took on the responsibility of being the US Chief Technology Officer at HP Autonomy, holding this position until January 2005.

Subsequently, he founded Blinkx and served as its Founder and CEO from January 2005 to July 2012,  a span of 7 years and 7 months.

He's being chosen as one of the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders in 2009 and being elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2012.

Continuing his  journey, Chandratillake maintained his role as a General Partner at Balderton Capital, venture capital firm in Europe, starting from January 2014.
