Tatseng Chiam

Tatseng Chiam is a Southeast Asian entrepreneur and technologist based in London. He holds a graduate degree from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he developed expertise in public policy and the intersection of technology and social impact. His academic and professional background reflects a consistent interest in using technology to solve structural inequalities — particularly in communities underserved by traditional infrastructure.
In 2019, Chiam co-founded RideTandem alongside Alex Shapland-Howes and Huw McLeod, whom he met through the Zinc venture builder programme — a cohort focused on supporting communities left behind by globalisation and automation. As a co-founder, Chiam brings product and technical leadership to a company that converts local transport fleets into smart, shared shuttle services for employers whose workers would otherwise have no reliable route to work.
RideTandem has now completed over two million passenger journeys across the UK and Germany, helped people earn more than £50 million in wages, and been certified as the UK's first B Corp employer shuttle service. The company raised £1.8 million in 2025 and serves customers including Royal Mail, Primark, and Lidl.
