Midnite

Midnite is a London-based next-generation sportsbook and casino operator targeting a new generation of gaming-native fans with a product-centric approach. Founded in 2018 by Nick Wright, Daniel Qu and Rupert Brenninkmeijer, the company identified a gap left by traditional betting operators that had not kept pace with how younger audiences — shaped by esports, streaming and digital-first entertainment — actually engage with competitive play. Midnite's entire sportsbook and casino platform is built in-house, giving it the flexibility to ship product improvements at a speed its white-label competitors cannot match.

The platform initially launched as a dedicated esports betting destination before expanding to cover mainstream sports including football, horse racing and tennis, as well as a full online casino offering with slots and live dealer games. Midnite's user experience is designed around fandom rather than transaction: offering tools that help fans follow their favourite teams and players, engage during live matches, and participate in a broader entertainment product rather than simply placing bets.

Midnite has raised over $75 million in total equity funding, with investors including The Raine Group, Discerning Capital, Play Ventures, Hedosophia, Makers Fund and Big Bets. A separate £86 million credit facility secured in 2025 funds ongoing marketing and growth. The company has grown to over 150 employees and is now executing a strategy to reach tier-one operator status in the UK market, with further international expansion planned.
