Kush Madlani

Kush Madlani is a British-Indian technologist and entrepreneur whose career has moved from derivatives trading to applied AI research and startup co-founding. After working as a derivatives trader at JP Morgan, he taught himself to code and pursued a Master's in Machine Learning at UCL, before joining Tractable — one of Europe's first computer vision unicorns — where he developed fraud-detection models and AI continuous improvement systems.
In 2023, Kush met Gregory Mostyn at Entrepreneur First and the two co-founded Wexler AI, a London-based legal technology company where he serves as CTO. The pair were united by a shared vision of building a category-defining applied AI company in one of the world's most complex and highest-stakes sectors. Kush's technical expertise in machine learning and applied AI underpins the Wexler platform's ability to extract, verify, and cross-reference facts across massive legal document sets — a capability already trusted by top global law firms including Clifford Chance and Burges Salmon.
Since its $1.4 million pre-seed round in December 2024, Wexler has grown ARR by 20x and raised a further $5.3 million seed round led by Pear VC in 2025. Kush was also awarded the Freedom of the City of London in recognition of his contributions to the city's technology ecosystem.
