Pawan Lokwani

Pawan Lokwani is the Co-Founder and Director of Recruitment SMART, a London-based AI recruitment technology company that has developed SniperAI, a machine learning platform for CV screening, candidate matching, and talent acquisition automation. He co-founded the company in 2015 alongside Yusuf Jazakallah, drawing on more than two decades of technology consulting experience in enterprise software and recruitment markets across the UK and US.

Lokwani holds an engineering degree from IIT Delhi (Indian Institute of Technology) and has held senior leadership roles at IBM, HCL, Capgemini, and other global consulting firms, where he built expertise in business development, product strategy, and large-scale recruitment operations. Before founding Recruitment SMART, he established a UK and US recruitment business that grew to an annual turnover of over £10 million, giving him direct experience of the inefficiencies that AI could address in the candidate sourcing and screening process.

At Recruitment SMART, Lokwani leads sales, product conceptualisation, and revenue strategy. The company's flagship SniperAI platform uses natural language processing and machine learning to match CVs to job specifications, producing ranked, annotated candidate lists that reduce manual screening time by up to 90%. The platform is used by enterprise clients across beverages, telecommunications, technology, airlines, oil and gas, and retail sectors globally, and has helped leading organisations achieve a 10x improvement in candidate diversity at the top of the funnel. Recruitment SMART has raised funding from Future Fund and Blackfinch, and has expanded its product suite to include Sourcie AI for candidate sourcing and Jeeves AI for recruitment process automation.
