Wealthbrite

Wealthbrite was founded in 2021 by Carla Hoppe, a British-Indian tax advisor and former Big Four professional, after she observed a striking paradox: even high-earning professionals in finance and law struggled with basic financial literacy, leading to stress, poor decision-making, and reduced workplace performance. Carla recognised that financial illiteracy was not a problem confined to those from disadvantaged backgrounds — it was pervasive, costing the UK economy an estimated £20 billion annually. Breaking the taboo around money in the workplace became her mission, and Wealthbrite was built to deliver that change at scale.
Wealthbrite's core offering is a suite of AI-powered accelerator programmes designed for early-career professionals. Its flagship Financial Foundations and Wealthbuilder programmes teach commercial awareness, personal finance, and business financial literacy — helping employees understand how their organisations create value, how to manage their own money confidently, and how these skills translate into stronger business performance. The Rainmaker Programme is co-designed with businesses to address specific skills shortages and is delivered as a digital platform with live interactive sessions. Clients include firms across the legal, banking, and technology sectors, and Wealthbrite has already expanded its programme into discussions with businesses in Asia and North America.
In July 2024, Wealthbrite closed a pre-seed funding round of £200,000 from angel investors, 70% of whom were from underrepresented communities — women, ethnic minorities, and those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. The funding is being used to invest in AI capabilities and expand the team. Wealthbrite was named among TechRound's top 100 UK startups in 2024, and Carla was shortlisted for Innovator of the Year at the Women and Diversity in Law Summit and Awards.
