Dr. Guy Sandelowsky

Dr. Guy Sandelowsky is the Co-Founder and CEO of Omni, one of the UK's leading plant-based dog nutrition brands. A veterinary surgeon with over a decade of clinical experience and a graduate of Nottingham Vet School, Sandelowsky launched Omni in 2020 after years of treating dogs with preventable, nutrition-related illnesses in clinical practice. His belief that nutrition was a largely untapped lever for canine health prevention — and that the environmental footprint of conventional meat-based pet food was a problem worth solving — led him to build a product line that combines veterinary rigour with sustainability.

Beyond his clinical training, Sandelowsky holds an MBA from Imperial College Business School, which he completed while Omni was getting off the ground — giving him the commercial and strategic grounding to translate veterinary expertise into a scalable consumer business. He is also known publicly as The Dog Dr on Instagram, where he has built a significant following around evidence-based advice on canine health and nutrition. Omni's formulations were developed with input from world-leading veterinary nutritionists, including Dr. Mike Davies, a former clinical nutritionist at Hills and Iams and Professor of Veterinary Sciences at Nottingham University.

Omni has grown to become one of the UK's most recognised plant-based pet food brands, achieving £2.7 million in sales in 2024 — representing 123% year-on-year growth — and serving more than 30,000 customers globally. The company appeared on BBC Dragons' Den, securing investment from Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett, and ranked 25th in the Startups 100 (2025). Sandelowsky continues to lead the brand's expansion into new product formats, international markets, and novel protein categories.
